Electrolux Text-a-Thon for Ovarian Cancer Awareness!

With September marking the start of Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month, Electrolux and Kelly Ripa will once again lend their support to the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund to find a cure. Ovarian Cancer affects thousands of women each year, and we need your help to raise awareness about this disease. Starting today, Moms can participate in a unique “Text-a-Thon for a Cause” campaign to fund research and promote early detection of this disease. Moms can donate $5 to the cause by texting “KELLY” to 85944 from their mobile phones (standard text messaging rates apply) – or by logging on to www.kelly-confidential.com. Also, each day you log on to the Web site, you are entered for a chance to win a luxury front-load washer and dryer from Electrolux in Turquoise Sky, the color of ovarian cancer awareness.

Also during September, visitors to Kelly Confidential can help spread awareness for this important cause by sending a virtual T-shirt to a friend.  For every “T-mail” sent, Electrolux will donate $1 to the OCRF.  You can also purchase a limited-edition T-shirt designed by Ripa; 100% of the proceeds from the sale of the T-shirts will go to OCRF.

We LOVE board games here!  We love to have family over and have game nights and we have a blast doing it so when I was asked to share this campaign I was thrilled to.  There is something about playing board games that bonds us together.  We laugh, talk, and learn together and it just gives us great quality time with our families and friends.  So join the million minute family challenge, get the board games out and have a blast together!

According to The Nielsen Company, in 2008, the average American watched approximately 142 hours of TV in one month. In addition, people who used the Internet were online 27 hours a month and people who used a mobile phone spent 3 hours a month watching mobile video.
