My new student, isn’t he cute?

Our Little Snowman

Boy, have we been getting the snow. Our kids made the cutest minature snowman.

Merry Christmas!

I hope you all have a Merry Christmas! May Christ’s Love fill your hearts and your homes!

Love Pooh

I am reading to my kids The House At Pooh Corner. I read this to my oldest son when he was young and now I’m reading it to my younger ones. I just LOVE pooh bear and I love so many of the quotes from that silly old bear. We can sure learn a lot from Pooh!

“If the person you are talking to doesn’t appear to be listening, be patient. It may simply be that he has a small piece of fluff in his ear.” Winnie the Pooh

Family Nights

I LOVE to have themed family nights! Most Saturdays are family days anyway-daytrips, family outings, house projects we work on together, and other things we do as a family. However at least once a month, sometimes twice on a Friday night we have an official family night. I’m going to write a list soon of winter family nights and post it, hopefully it will give you some ideas and please if you have special family nights I would LOVE for you to share so I can add to my list. Last night we made carmel apples and watched It’s The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown and let the kids stay up late with us. We had a great fall evening together. If you look at my categories I have a family night you can check out. I’m hoping to share much more on them in the future. I love our family spending quality time together!

Pumpkin Carvings

We have carved pumpkins with my inlaws every since the first grandchild was born, which was our Sam. There have been so many changes over the years, we now have 5 children involved (three for us and two from my husband’s brother and his wife) The hardest change has been losing my mother in law, she has been gone for almost two years now, that is so hard to believe. We are proud of my father in law for keeping up the tradition, this year was a little easier (last year was all the first without her and wow, was it painful) It makes you sad to think it will never be quite the same but we look forward to the day when we will walk side by side in Paradise! Pumpkin Carvings won’t hold a candle to that! We did have a nice time tonight and I know she would be thrilled to know we are moving on in the right direction and keeping tradition alive!

Poor Yoshi!

My son’s favorite animal Yoshi got ate by the dog, my dog is older and doesn’t chew up things anymore, what in the world came over him-I don’t know. His aunt and uncle ordered this from Hong Kong on ebay because he loves Yoshi (from Mario brothers) so much. We had so many tears, it was heartbreaking. So now the mission is on to find him another one! One of many lessons for a 7 yr old, LIFE is tough! LOL! We asked the dog, did you do this? And he covers his head with shame! Bad Bad Dog!
