Yoohoo Pet Giveaway!

We received two yoohoo pets and keychain and it is ADORABLE.  We have so many stuffed animals, I wondered if it would be different. It is very unique!   We got the valentines monkey and it is SO soft and cute. If you push its tummy it makes a kissing sound and the heart lights up. It has these fun big eyes and a beautiful pink striped tail.  My daughter LOVES it, she has carried it around all week.   These pets are so unique, you won’t have one like it.

I love what Aurora World says about the pets and their website, as a homeschooler I love when we get a toy that has an educational aspect to them.  It takes something fun and gives the child a lesson too.

Aurora will introduce many new YooHoo & Friends throughout next year but look for the Beaver, Yellow Tiger, Jaban Rhinoceros and Japanese Macque (five and eight inches) to kick off 2010 introductions. They join the Scarlet Macaw, Barbary Lion, Iberian Lynx, Platypus and a host of other characters.

Even better, YooHoo & Friends teach kids about endangered species from around the globe. There’s a corresponding free, interactive web site (no annoying activation codes required) http://www.yoohoofriends.com that teaches about the animals (on which the YooHoo & Friends line of characters are based) in their natural habitats; as well as a host of games, desktop wallpapers, coloring sheets and more — the web site makes learning about these animals engaging and fun. Each plush piece makes a fun sound when squeezed.

I have one random five inch selection and keychain Visit Aurora World Inc.’s - YooHoo & Friends website.    Leave me a comment letting me know which one you think is the cutest, it will be tough to decide.

    Playdoh Contest!

Embracing the idea of creating food, Play-Doh has created a “Ready, Go Play-Doh” contest where our kids can come up with their own Play-Doh “food” creations for a chance to win a makeover of both their playroom and their school’s playroom. You can visit www.ReadyGoPlayDoh.com to enter by uploading a photo of your child’s food-inspired Play-Doh creation along with the “recipe” to make it.

The grand prize winner of the “Ready, Go Play-Doh” contest will win $10,000: $5,000 for a playroom makeover as well as a $5,000 “Doh-nation” to their child’s school. Contest entries will be accepted through September 30, 2009. On October 15, 2009, the ten finalists will be posted on ReadyGoPlayDoh.com and the public will vote on who receives the $10,000 prize! The website will also feature a gallery of entries, so even if you don’t win, everyone can see your child’s creation.

    Schleich Toys

What fun toys!  We received many of these charming animals from Schleich through the TOS HomeschoolCrew.  My children LOVE them, they play with these all the time.  The animals have a real look to them and are made very well!

The toys are made of high-quality vinyl plastic and hand painted using non-toxic paint.  The motto they use on their website is “Educational aspects play a more important part than possible sales potential.”  You don’t find many toy companies with that in mind anymore and you don’t find quality made toys very often either.  This company sells Knights too, my older son would love to have some of these, they are going on his wish list for Christmas, they would make GREAT stocking stuffers.

You can buy these in many places-hardware stores, department stores and even Amazon.  They are priced very affordable.  From $1.50-$5.00.

Thanks to the Homeschoolcrew and Schleich for this opportunity!

    Noahs Ark

My kids received a great Noah’s Ark that included Noah and 14 animals for it.   You can actually open up the ark and store all the supplies in it.  I recently used this in a Children’s Church lesson while teaching about Noah.  I passed the animals around and let everyone act out the story of Noah, they had a blast.  So not only are these toys great for your children to play with but they are great for sunday school/children’s ministries, and VBS.  We have really enjoyed this toy.  I love the fact that this company supplies biblical toys that go along with the stories of the Bible.  My kids have had a blast with this one for sure!  It retails for 29.95.

Natual Bear from Hosung Ny Naturals!

I recently received a bear to review. This is from Hosung Ny Naturals line and she is just adorable.  My daughter just loves her!    She is around 9 inches long and is wearing a natural color dress.  This line can be bought at Target and they have other animals too.  The greatest thing about this bear is that is it made from natural products.  We know now that we have to be concerned about the toys our children play with, who would have ever thought there would have been so many recalls on some of our favorite toys?  We know we have to be careful in our choices and with this one you won’t go wrong.

This line is 100% natural cotton fiber

    No dyes, chemicals or toxins

Naturally soft due to lack of harsh chemical treatments

Non-irritant to sensitive or young skin

We have really enjoyed this little bear, it’s nice to know there are companies working to make our kids toys more safe and natural!

Thanks to Role Mommy for this opportunity

    Alphabet Alley

Alphabet Alley is a faith-based company that produces high quality toys for the early childhood market. We use all original graphics to illustrate solid values in a fun and entertaining way. Children choose Alphabet Alley products because they are fun! Parents, teachers and schools choose Alphabet Alley products for their educational, motivational and spiritual values.

I received two games from the Alphabet Alley to review!  Noah’s Ark Go Fish and Two By Two Matching Game.  We LOVE them.  My 4 and 6 year old are having a great time with these games!  The go fish and matching are are played like the typical games  of go fish and matching but these have the story of Noah’s Ark on both.  The illustrations of the animals and boat are colorful, bright and just beautiful.  I love the fact that as my kids are playing these classic childhood games we are discussing the story of Noah.  We have talked about the rainbow and God’s promise and all the animals on the ark!  I also love that the Go Fish cards are large for little hands.  Many times when the kids are trying to play cards their little hands have a hard time holding them out, these are perfect for the preschool/earl elementary grades.  I also love in the memory game that are just enough cards, not so many that it is overwhelming for them like in many other memory games.

Their website is wonderful, they sell many toys that help tell stories of the Bible, you have to check it out.  The prices are great too, very reasonable for what they sell.  It is great to support a company that promotes positive spiritual values and gets your children sharing God’s Word.

Thanks to the Homeschool Crew and Alphabet Alley for this opportuntiy.
